Using Segments in Broadcasts

You can use client segments to send Broadcasts to specific clients that meet the conditions you have set up!

Additionally, you can use tags alongside segments to further refine your targeting for Broadcasts.

Segments can also be used for SMS broadcasts, allowing you to target specific groups of clients for text-based communication.

Creating a Segment:

  1. Click "Create new segment"

  2. Name your segment

  3. Select the "user data"

  4. Pricing option

  5. Select the condition:

  6. Is active: Clients who have active packages or subscription

  7. Is not active: Clients who don't have any active packages or subscriptions

  8. Is expired / canceled: Clients who have purchase history and no visits remaining or their subscription has been cancelled

  9. Has been purchased: Clients who have ever purchased a pricing option

  10. Never been purchased: Clients who have never purchased a pricing option

  11. Click "Save"7. Additional segment criteria include:

    • Service Name: Target clients who booked a specific class (e.g., yoga or fitness class).

    • Opted into SMS marketing = true: Focus on clients who opted into SMS marketing.

    • Opted into email marketing = false: Exclude clients who opted into email marketing.

    • Date-based exclusions: Exclude clients who signed up for a specific class after a certain date.

    • Tags: Use tags to group and target specific clients.


How to use Segments in Broadcasts:

  1. Click "Create new Broadcast"

  2. Enter the name of your Broadcast

  3. Select whether you want to send a push notification, email, or SMS

  4. Under "Who should receive this push notification?" scroll down to Custom Segments and select the segment that you created 🥳

  5. You will see all clients that fit that segment pop up in the box

  6. From there, complete the set up your Broadcast!

Additionally, some advanced email features, such as bulk email campaigns, require upgrading from the Individual plan. If you exceed the included 10,000 emails per month, additional emails are billed at a small cost per email.
