Where to Integrate

You can integrate your Arketa account by going to "Settings --> Integrations"

How to Set Up Google Analytics Integration for Tracking Reservations, Purchases, and Subscriptions

Setting up Google Analytics for your business is a straightforward process. Follow these step-by-step instructions to enable the integration and start tracking important events on your website.

Step 1: Access Integration Settings

  1. Log in to Arketa

Step 2: Navigate to 'Google Analytics & Tag Manager'

  1. Look for the 'Integrations' section within the settings menu.

  2. Click on 'Google Analytics & Tag Manager' or a similar option.

Step 3: Fill in Integration Details

You'll need to enter the required information to set up the integration. Here are the fields you'll encounter:

1. Google Tag Manager ID:

  • This is a unique code that allows your website to communicate with Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager.

  • If you have a Google Tag Manager account, you can find this ID there. If not, consider creating one and follow their instructions to obtain the ID.

2. Google Analytics Tracking ID:

  • This ID helps Google Analytics recognize and collect data specific to your website.

  • If you don't have a Google Analytics account, create one by visiting the Google Analytics website. During the account setup, you'll be provided with a Tracking ID.

3. Header Code:

  • The 'Header Code' field is where you can paste a piece of Google JavaScript code that allows Google Analytics to track activity on your booking pages.

  • If you have the Google Analytics tracking code, paste it into this field.

Step 4: Save and Verify

  1. After filling in the required information, click the "Save" button to activate the integration.

  2. Verify that the integration is active by checking the status or through a confirmation message. This may take a short time to update.

Step 5: Utilize Google Analytics Data

Now that you've set up the Google Analytics integration, you can use the data to your advantage:

  • Track user behavior, such as which pages they visit and what actions they take on your website.

  • Monitor reservations, purchases, and subscriptions to see how your business is performing.

  • Use these insights to make informed decisions to improve your website and business.

Which Events Are Tracked?

Page View: The page in which was viewed inside of Arketa
Checkout: The checkout page viewed inside of Arketa
Purchase: Someone purchased something, which could be booking a class or package
Subscribe: Someone subscribed to a subscription

For accounts created with Arketa after June 2023, Stripe our payment processor made an update in which no longer tracks what was purchased or subscribed to at checkout. We will be updating our Google Analytics integration directly to re-add this in the future.
