You can include guest passes to a client's membership/subscription.
Note: guest passes can only be included in memberships/subscriptions!
Adding a guest pass to a subscription/membership
Go to Set up > Pricing Options
Create or edit current membership
Under "Guest Passes", you can toggle on 2 options:
If you select "Allow Guest Usage": will allow the member to share their credits with a guest. If the member brings a guest, it will deduct from the member's overall credits.
IE: Memberships has 20 credits and the member books themselves and a guest, then the credits would go down to 18.
If you select "Include guest passes each billing cycle" (most common): This will credit a separate set of guest credits for the member to use for guests.
IE: Membership has 20 credits, plus 1 guest pass per month. If a member brings a guest, it would take their credits to 19 and remove the 1 guest pass from their account.
Select who can use guest passes:
Anyone: Any guest can use these passes, regardless of whether they've visited before
New Customers Only: Only guests who have never booked or checked in at your studio can use these passes.
Select Number of guest passes per billing cycle:
This is the number of guest passes that the member will have included in their membership
Select Guest Pass Validity (days):
How many days guest passes remain valid after being granted on each billing cycle. This will default to the membership's billing period if the field is left empty
Input Guest visit limit:
Maximum number of times a single guest can use guest passes at your studio (e.g., 3 visits per year). Leave the field empty for unlimited usage.
Note: If you're making changes to this pricing option, the restrictions will only apply to new purchases and future billing cycles. Existing purchases will keep their current settings.

Frequently asked questions
*What does this feature do?*
It lets studio owners give their members the ability to bring guests. The system tracks credits, enforces limits, and handles cancellations automatically — no manual spreadsheets or guesswork needed.
*What are the two modes?*
1. **Allow guest usage** — the member shares their own class credits to bring a guest. Bringing a guest costs one credit from their existing pool.
2. **Include guest passes each billing cycle** — the member gets a separate set of guest-only credits that renew automatically every cycle. Their regular class credits stay untouched.
*Where do studio owners configure this?*
On any membership or package pricing option, under the "Guest Passes" section. They can set: number of passes per cycle, validity period, who can use them (anyone or new customers only), and a per-guest visit limit.
*What is the per-guest visit limit?*
A cap on how many times a single individual can come as a guest. For example, if the limit is 2, a guest named Pedro can visit twice — after that he's blocked, even if the member still has passes available. This encourages guests to convert into paying members.
*What happens when a booking is cancelled?*
The guest pass credit is returned automatically.
*Where is everything tracked?*
On the client's profile, under a dedicated **Guest Passes** tab. It includes:
- Stats: total visits, remaining passes, unique guests, blocked guests
- Active Guest Passes table with remaining credits
- Redeemed Guest Passes table with full visit history
- Usage Limits card showing each guest's progress toward their limit
*Does this work for both classes and gym check-ins?*
Yes. The flow is the same — select the member, pick the guest pass, and choose "Paying for" to assign the guest.
*Does this work for both memberships and packages?*
Yes. Both pricing option types support guest pass configuration.
*Does this work from the widget (client-facing)?*
Yes. Guests can also be booked through the widget, following the same guest booking experience.
*What does the member see in their purchases?*
The purchases table shows a subtitle (e.g., "3 guest passes/cycle"), and the purchase detail page shows the full guest pass configuration: passes per cycle, remaining, validity, restrictions, and visit limit.
*Are changes to guest pass settings retroactive?*
No. Changes to settings on a pricing option (like number of passes per cycle, visit limits, or who can use them) apply to **new purchases and future billing cycles only**. Existing active purchases keep the settings they were created with.
*When do guest passes renew for memberships?*
Guest passes renew automatically at the start of each billing cycle. When the membership renews, the system creates a fresh set of guest pass credits based on the current configuration.
*Can the front desk override the limits?*
No. Both credit limits and per-guest visit limits are enforced system-wide — from the dashboard, the check-in page, and the widget. There is no manual override.
