Frequently Asked Questions

What does the client experience look like?

Below is what the price will look like for the client at checkout. Below the pricing option they will be allowed to type the pricing option if eligible.

Can a client also use a package or subscription on this class?

Yes! If a package or subscription is eligible then a client will be able to use it for the class.

Can sliding-scale pricing be restricted to non-members only?

No, sliding-scale pricing cannot be restricted to non-members only. To allow members to attend for free while non-members pay, use membership/pricing-option eligibility for free access and set a fixed drop-in price for non-members.

Is sliding-scale pricing supported on the mobile app?

No, sliding-scale pricing is only supported via the embeddable widget on the website. On the mobile app, only a single price will appear, which may default to the highest amount in the sliding range. As a workaround, you can create multiple discrete pricing tiers (e.g., Student, Standard, Supporter) to represent the range.

Why can't I select a sliding-scale price when adding someone to an event roster?

Sliding-scale pricing is not available for manual roster additions. Staff can either create fixed-price backend options for manual additions or ask attendees to self-register via the website integration where sliding-scale pricing is available.

Can members use their credits for sliding-scale classes?

Yes, members can use their credits to attend a class with sliding-scale pricing if credits are enabled for the class. Ensure that credits are enabled for drop-ins in the class settings.
