Navigate to Settings → Locations in your dashboard.
Select an existing location or create a new one.
Click Add Room or edit an existing room.
Toggle Enable Spot Booking in the room settings.
Tap on "Add Instructor Spot" to show where an instructor will be teaching.
Tap on "Add Client Spot" to open up a resource (bike, rowing station, etc.) for the room.
Use the map builder to lay out your room by dragging spots into position to match your room layout.
Add capacity and services offered in this room and click on "Save Details". Once enabled, clients will see the room map at checkout, allowing them to select a spot. Their chosen spot will be held immediately and reflected in their confirmation email and under My Bookings.
Configuring Spot Booking for Classes
To ensure Spot Booking works seamlessly with your classes:
Assign a room tied to Spot Booking for each class.
Go to Setup → Service Types and edit the class type.
On the second page of the class setup, select the appropriate room. Note: Spot Booking will not populate if a class is not assigned to a room with spots. Additionally, clients auto-enrolled from the waitlist may appear on the class roster without a specific spot assigned. This can create a temporary mismatch between the roster count and occupied spots until those clients select a spot.
Troubleshooting Spot Booking Issues
If you encounter issues with Spot Booking, consider the following steps:
Spot Booking Toggle Not Visible: Open the room in edit mode to locate the Spot Booking toggle. If it still doesn’t appear, sign out of your dashboard and sign back in, then check the room settings again.
Pre-Booked Clients and Spot Selection: Clients who were pre-booked before Spot Booking was enabled cannot retroactively select their own spots. In such cases, an admin or staff member must assign spots for these clients. New bookings made after enabling Spot Booking will allow clients to select their spots during the booking process.
Additional Notes
After enabling Spot Booking, create a spot map for the relevant class or service. The spot map defines the selectable machines or spots that clients can choose at checkout.
