Add taxes to your retail items or additional tax beyond the standard system wide tax.
Go to "Settings --> Taxes"
"Create a tax"
Add a name, rate and click "Save changes"
4. Once created, hover on the "Actions" --> "Apply to product"
5. Select either all products or select products to add your tax rate too and click "Apply tax"
