Black Friday (Cyber Monday) + Holiday Sales! 🎁🎊

Some of our top tips for this holiday season!

Updated over a week ago

πŸ’‘ A few best practices for all sales/promotions:

  1. Choose only one offer - no need to be confusing to your customers

  2. Create urgency. If a sale lasts forever nobody will bite.

  3. Make it easy to redeem. If it's confusing for your customer, you're going to loose them at the point they try to understand your offer.

  4. Don't forget to share! Your offer will not sell itself. Use a navigation banner on your website, email + social to promote

    1. We love the navigation banner at the top of the website to promote as it's the easiest to remove once you're sale is over

    2. Sharing your sale on multiple channels is a great way to try to get through all of the noice of other brands

Please note: some some of the brands below are great to look to for inspiration - we always recommend you look at your customer base and use the concept not necessarily price point based on what works best for your business model πŸ™ƒ

There's no business like your business so find something that works best for you!

  1. Percentage (%) Discount on Class Packages

Why this is great: Encourages students to purchase more than one class with you in bulk.

How to execute:

  • πŸ’‘Pro tip: Extend the expiration date on your packages to 1 year, etc. so that students feel like they have enough time to use large sized packages

2. Build a discounted class package so that when students book their next class they view the sale as a price option

  • πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: use an intro offer for new + existing students if you'd like to limit the discount to one per customer

Examples:

2. Offering a discount on annual memberships

Why this is great: Encourages your monthly members who already love engaging with your community to commit to a fully year. This is also great for video on-demand libraries as even if students drop off after a few months you'll continue to make the revenue for the entire year.

πŸ’‘Pro Tip: Need to move a monthly member to annual? Have the student email you and you can update this on the backend of your dashboard: Click here

3. Encourage gift card purchases

Why this is great: Gift cards are one of the most popular requests by consumers during the holiday season. They encourage your members to share your business with their closet friends + family as well which means they're helping your business grow!

How to execute: Share your gift card link or embed directly inside of your website.

4. Offering a discount on memberships for new members

Why this is great: Encourages your students, who are ready to start the New Year off strong, to create a membership.

How to execute:

Build a discount on your membership to encourage new students to upgrade to monthly pricing.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: Create urgency by having this offer expire so students are not waiting to purchase a membership "later".

Examples:

  • Get your first month free (build an intro offer with a first period discount)

  • 30 days for $30 (build either an unlimited class package for 30 days or a first period discount)

  • 50% off your first month (build an intro offer with a first period discount)

  • 20% off your monthly membership forever (use a 20% off promo code or pricing option that is 20% less)
